eSIM support can depend on the exact phone model, country variant and whether the device is locked to a carrier.
Does your device support eSIM?
Open your device settings and look for an option to add an eSIM/mobile plan. Apple and Android naming varies by model and software version.
Is the phone carrier-unlocked?
A phone can support eSIM technically but still reject a travel profile because it is locked to a home carrier. Check the SIM/network lock status before payment.
Can you install before departure?
Use reliable Wi‑Fi to install the profile before the trip when possible. Do not delete a working eSIM unless the order instructions explicitly tell you to.
What compatibility does not guarantee
Compatible hardware does not guarantee 5G, a particular carrier, hotspot performance or coverage in every building. Those depend on the specific supplier plan and local network conditions.
